Launch of VisionDatasets.com: Synthetic Datasets for Computer Vision

We are excited to introduce VisionDatasets.com, a new resource for high-quality synthetic datasets created specifically for computer vision applications. Developed by syntheticAIdata, this platform provides domain-specific datasets that enable AI models to train faster and perform more reliably in real-world environments.

Our initial focus is on manufacturing, where the need for accurate and efficient training data is critical. Looking ahead, we plan to expand into areas including AI for good, space exploration, and Earth observation.

Open Access for Innovation

The datasets are freely available under a community license, making them accessible to researchers, developers, and organizations working to advance computer vision.

All datasets on VisionDatasets.com are generated using the syntheticAIdata Enterprise platform, which enables rapid creation of high-quality, physically accurate synthetic data tailored to specific vision tasks. Our platform captures real-world variability at scale, including lighting, materials, occlusions, and rare edge cases, allowing teams to overcome the limitations of manual data collection. The result: faster iteration, improved model robustness, and reduced costs.

Explore Our Current Datasets

Currently Available Datasets:
  • Screws, Nuts, Bolts and Washers
High-resolution synthetic images of screws, bolts, nuts, and washers arranged in varied configurations to support computer vision tasks in inspection and automation.
  • Power Sockets and Switches (EU)
Synthetic dataset of EU-standard sockets and switches in diverse installation conditions and angles, designed for smart inspection and validation.
  • Plastic Bottle Caps
Images of correctly and incorrectly placed plastic bottle caps, ideal for training models in defect detection and quality control.
  • Laptop Disassembly
A collaborative dataset with Danish Technological Institute (DTI) featuring realistic simulations of laptop disassembly for robotics, remanufacturing, and sustainability-focused automation.

Each dataset includes a curated set of high-resolution image previews to give you a clear sense of the content, variability, and visual realism.
